50 Cent, Andrew Koji Join Street Fighter Film

Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson has been cast as Balrog, a disgraced boxer and bodyguard of villain M. Bison, in the upcoming Street Fighter film adaptation directed by Kitao Sakurai. The ensemble cast includes Jason Momoa as Blanka, Noah Centineo as Ken, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Orville Peck as Vega, Andrew Koji as Ryu, and WWE star Roman Reigns as Akuma. Production is scheduled to begin in August in Australia, with 50 Cent preparing to perform his own stunts. The film is co-produced by Legendary Entertainment and Capcom, following renewed interest in the franchise after the success of Street Fighter 6. 50 Cent's casting adds to his growing Hollywood presence, which includes work on The Expendables 4, the Power series, and Black Mafia Family. The release date for the film remains unconfirmed after its removal from Sony's schedule.
