Sadie Sink to Star in Broadway Play

Sadie Sink, known for her role in 'Stranger Things', will star in the new Broadway play 'John Proctor Is the Villain', set to begin performances on March 20, 2025, at the Booth Theatre, with an official opening on April 14. The play, directed by Tony Award winner Danya Taymor, is a modern comedic reexamination of Arthur Miller's 'The Crucible', set in a rural Georgia high school where students grapple with love, scandals, and the impact of the #MeToo movement while studying the classic play. Kimberly Belflower, making her Broadway debut with this production, has crafted a narrative that features a total of nine characters, including students and educators, challenging traditional notions of heroism in the context of their own experiences. The creative team includes notable designers in various fields, ensuring a comprehensive theatrical presentation. This production marks a unique trajectory as it has been licensed for nearly 100 nonprofessional productions before arriving on Broadway. Sink's performance will be her first on Broadway since her childhood roles in 'Annie' and 'The Audience'.
