Seager Replaces Correa in MLB All-Star Game
Corey Seager has been named to the American League All-Star roster as a replacement for Carlos Correa, who is sidelined with plantar fasciitis. This will be Seager's fifth All-Star appearance, joining Texas Rangers teammates Marcus Semien and Kirby Yates. The All-Star Game, hosted by the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field, will now feature three Rangers players. Correa, who plans to attend the All-Star activities, has had a strong season batting .308 with a .377 on-base percentage. Seager, hitting .270 with 18 homers and 48 RBIs, has been a consistent performer since signing a 10-year, $325 million contract with the Rangers in 2021.
