Nicolas Cage Stars in Spider-Noir TV Series

Amazon Prime Video and MGM+ are developing a Spider-Noir series featuring Nicolas Cage as an aging private investigator in 1930s New York, who also has a past as a superhero. Brendan Gleeson will portray the main villain, described as a philosophical character with a 'drone-eye view' on matters, although details about his role remain sparse. Producer Amy Pascal emphasized that Cage's character will be a 'broken' version of Spider-Man, highlighting the darker approach of this adaptation. The series aims to expand the Spider-Man universe, with multiple related projects currently in development at Sony. Gleeson has expressed excitement about working with Cage, noting their brief interactions during rehearsals, and he has already filmed scenes for the show. The cast also includes Lamorne Morris and several other notable actors, aiming to bring a fresh perspective to the Spider-Man franchise.
