UK Unveils £225 Million Military Aid Package to Ukraine

Britain is set to provide Ukraine with an additional £225 million ($286 million) in military support, as announced by Defence Secretary John Healey during his visit to Kyiv. The new aid package includes naval drones, air defense systems, and artillery, aimed at enhancing Ukraine's battlefield capabilities as the conflict with Russia continues. Priority areas for support will also focus on training Ukrainian soldiers, with initiatives under Operation Interflex continuing into 2025. The funding will assist in the co-production of air defense systems and ensure a steady supply of artillery ammunition. Healey emphasized the UK's commitment to stand by Ukraine for as long as necessary, reinforcing international cooperation to bolster Ukraine's defenses. The International Fund for Ukraine will facilitate the procurement of this military equipment, drawing contributions from allied nations.
