Brighton Signs Brajan Gruda for £25 Million

Brighton & Hove Albion have successfully signed 20-year-old German Under-21 international Brajan Gruda from Mainz for £25 million, on a four-year contract extending until 2028. Gruda, who played 28 Bundesliga matches last season, scoring four goals and assisting three, was instrumental in Mainz’s battle against relegation. Brighton head coach Fabian Hurzeler expressed admiration for Gruda's impact in the Bundesliga and is eager to help develop his potential for the Premier League. Despite being linked with Bayern Munich and having trained with Germany's senior team, an injury prevented him from participating in Euro 2024. Gruda is Brighton’s sixth signing this summer, joining Ibrahim Osman, Yankuba Minteh, Mats Wieffer, Amario Cozier-Duberry, and Malick Yalcouye.
