French golfer Julien Guerrier clinched his first DP World Tour title at the Andalucia Masters after a grueling nine-hole playoff against Spain's Jorge Campillo, tying the record for the longest playoff in tour history. Both players finished regulation play tied at 21-under par, with Guerrier securing victory on the ninth playoff hole after Campillo faltered with a bogey. The win marks Guerrier's first tour victory in his 230th start, following an impressive performance throughout the tournament, including two eagles in the third round that helped him share the lead. Campillo, who had a two-shot lead with four holes to play in the final round, missed several opportunities during the playoff, ultimately falling short. This victory was particularly significant for Guerrier, whose coach, Raphael Jacquelin, had similarly won a nine-hole playoff at the Spanish Open in 2013. The tournament saw strong performances from other players as well, with Dan Brown finishing third and Tom McKibbin placing 43rd.
