Search Intensifies for Missing Queensland Teen Phoebe Bishop Near Bundaberg Airport

Seventeen-year-old Phoebe Bishop disappeared under suspicious circumstances after being last seen near Bundaberg Airport, Queensland, on May 15. Although she had a ticket to fly to Western Australia, CCTV footage indicated she never entered the airport terminal, prompting a police investigation that includes homicide detectives and divers. Two crime scenes have been declared: the property in Gin Gin where Phoebe lived with a couple, and a grey Hyundai believed to have transported her to the airport. The search has expanded to the Good Night Scrub National Park, an hour's drive from the airport, with specialized teams deploying cadaver dogs, drones, and helicopters. Phoebe's mother, Kylie Johnson, has publicly expressed the family's anguish amid ongoing uncertainty, appealing for community support and information, especially regarding the vehicle involved. Despite extensive efforts, police have yet to identify any persons of interest or find evidence, and they continue to urge anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage from the relevant area and date to come forward.
