Iranian Delegation Attends IDEAS 2024 Arms Expo

The 12th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2024 has commenced in Karachi, Pakistan, featuring defence manufacturers from 55 countries, including major powers like the US, Russia, China, and Iran, amidst heavy security measures. The event showcases over 560 exhibitors, with significant participation from Turkey and China, and highlights Pakistan's domestically produced military equipment such as the Haider Main Battle Tank and Shahpar III drone. Iran is participating for the first time with its own pavilion, displaying its military advancements and engaging in defense discussions with Pakistan's military officials. The expo aims to foster global cooperation in defense, with the slogan 'Weapons for Peace; Global Cooperation and Strategic Partnership.' Meanwhile, a separate arms expo is scheduled for December in Hanoi, Vietnam, where geopolitical rivals like Iran and Israel will also showcase their military capabilities, underlining Vietnam's strategy to diversify its defense partnerships.
