Teens Charged in Separate Shooting Incidents

A 17-year-old from Tracy, California has been charged with attempted murder and other offenses for allegedly shooting 49ers rookie Ricky Pearsall during a robbery attempt in San Francisco's Union Square. The teen, who appeared in a juvenile court on Wednesday, is also facing charges of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and attempted second-degree robbery. Meanwhile, in a separate incident in New Jersey, a 16-year-old was charged with attempted murder for a shooting that injured two teens at Passaic County Technical Institute following a football game. Both incidents highlight ongoing concerns about juvenile involvement in violent crimes.
