Manchester Arena Survivors Win Harassment Case Against Hall

Martin Hibbert and his daughter Eve, both survivors of the Manchester Arena bombing, have been awarded £45,000 in damages after successfully suing Richard Hall, a conspiracy theorist and former TV producer. Judge Karen Steyn criticized Hall for a 'reckless abuse of media freedom' as he claimed the attack was a state-orchestrated hoax and labeled the victims as 'crisis actors,' actions which the High Court ruled as harassment. The damages awarded were £22,500 each to Martin and Eve. Hall's actions included publishing videos and a book promoting the false narrative and filming Eve outside her home. The case draws parallels to defamation lawsuits against Alex Jones for similar conspiracy claims regarding the Sandy Hook shooting. Hall argued his claims were in the public interest, but the court found no merit in his defense.
