Southern Railway has introduced special AC trains between Tambaram and Kochuveli to manage the passenger rush during Vinayaka Chaturthi and Onam, with additional services running between Chennai Central and Coimbatore. Western Railway has extended the trips for 10 pairs of special trains, including routes such as Bandra Terminus to Ajmer and Bikaner, to accommodate extra passengers until the end of December. Central Railway announced new special trains between Mumbai and Ayodhya in response to increased demand. Additionally, a 10-hour rail block was completed between Goregaon and Kandivali to facilitate the construction of a new railway line, causing minor delays.
