Brazil plane crash victims
On Friday, an ATR 72-500 plane operated by Voepass airlines crashed in Vinhedo, Brazil, killing all 62 people on board, including 58 passengers and four crew members. Emergency crews have successfully recovered the remains of all victims, comprising 34 males and 28 females, with the identification process underway, particularly for the pilot and co-pilot. The tragic incident occurred when the aircraft, traveling from Cascavel to São Paulo, lost altitude rapidly before crashing into a residential area, fortunately causing no injuries on the ground. The recovery operation was hampered by rain, but about 250 personnel worked tirelessly to retrieve the bodies. Authorities are using various methods, including DNA samples from relatives, to aid in identifying the victims. The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, and the plane's black box is being analyzed for further insights.
