Florida Population Growth Driven by Migration

Florida's population has surged past 23.3 million, marking one of the fastest growth rates in the U.S., as per the latest U.S. Census Bureau data. The state saw an increase of 467,347 people from the previous year, second only to Texas. A primary driver of this growth is international migration, with Florida experiencing a net increase of 411,322 people due to this factor. Additionally, the southern U.S. region, including Florida, saw substantial population gains from both international and domestic migration, contributing to an overall increase of nearly 1.8 million people. Despite this growth, Florida recorded a 'natural decrease' in population, with more deaths than births. This trend underscores the significant role of migration in Florida's population dynamics.
