Thanksgiving Meals Distributed Across Communities

This Thanksgiving, various organizations across the United States are coming together to provide meals for those in need. Messalonskee High School in Maine has hosted a free community dinner for over 40 years, serving as a gathering place for individuals who may otherwise spend the holiday alone. The Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission plans to feed 1,300 people, while the Morongo Band of Mission Indians is distributing 15,000 turkeys across Southern California, expected to support nearly 300,000 holiday meals. Additionally, the Crossroads Urban Center in Salt Lake City distributed 3,500 turkeys and sides, leveraging extensive volunteer support for its annual giveaway. The Salvation Army aims to serve over 3,000 people in the Denver metro area with hot meals and food boxes. These efforts highlight the spirit of community and giving during the holiday season.
