Rock legend Jimmy Barnes has recounted a supernatural experience in which he believes he was visited by the ghost of his late bandmate, Cold Chisel drummer Steve Prestwich, while recovering from heart surgery. In an excerpt from his upcoming memoir, Highways and Byways, Barnes describes a vivid dream where he felt so close to Prestwich that he physically touched him. The singer, who is 68, has faced significant health challenges recently, including hip replacement and open-heart surgery, which led to a staph infection targeting his hip. Despite these setbacks, Barnes confirmed plans for the Cold Chisel 50th anniversary tour in October, following a brief hiatus due to his health issues. He shared updates on his recovery journey, expressing gratitude for the support he received during this difficult time. The memoir is set to be released on October 16.
