PPL Corporation Announces COO Retirement and Restructuring

PPL Corporation has announced the retirement of its Chief Operating Officer, Francis Sullivan, effective April 4, 2025. Following his departure, the company will eliminate the COO position, redistributing Sullivan's responsibilities to David Bonenberger and Lonnie Bellar, who will become Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer-Utilities and Executive Vice President of Engineering, Construction and Generation, respectively. Both executives will report directly to PPL's President and CEO Vincent Sorgi and together bring nearly 80 years of combined utility experience. This restructuring is part of PPL's strategy to enhance operational efficiency and better align leadership with its core utilities business. Sullivan has been with PPL since October 2021 and has served as COO since January 2023, contributing to significant operational transformations during his tenure.
