Police are conducting an urgent manhunt for 33-year-old Martin Jackson, who absconded from HMP Castle Huntly, Scotland's only open prison, at approximately 6:30 PM on August 28. Jackson is described as white, of medium build, around 5ft 10in tall, bald, and with red facial hair. He was last seen wearing a grey top and bottoms with a dark jacket and may have a grey backpack, a white plastic bag, and a black baseball cap. Authorities are cautioning the public not to approach him, as he has connections in Ayr and Cumbria. Any sightings of Jackson should be reported to police by calling 101, referencing incident 3722 of August 28, or can be submitted anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111. Police continue to seek information to assist in locating him.
