Borussia Monchengladbach, Parma Near Talks for USMNT Midfielder Gio Reyna

USMNT midfielder Giovanni Reyna is reportedly set to leave Borussia Dortmund as his contract nears expiration next summer, with a long-term extension deemed unlikely by the club. Borussia Monchengladbach has made an offer for Reyna, who is seeking more regular playing time ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which the United States will co-host. While Parma had also expressed interest, Dortmund has yet to respond to Gladbach's offer, leaving the door open for competing bids. Reyna, who has struggled with injuries over the past two seasons and spent part of the last campaign on loan at Nottingham Forest, has made 147 appearances for Dortmund with 19 goals and 18 assists. A move to Monchengladbach would reunite him with USMNT teammate Joe Scally, enhancing his prospects for consistent first-team football. Dortmund prioritized Reyna's participation in the Club World Cup over the 2025 Gold Cup, underscoring his ongoing importance despite his challenges.
