Royal Caribbean Launches 7,600‑Passenger Legend July 2026
Royal Caribbean will debut Legend of the Seas in July 2026 as the third Icon-class, 250,800 GT megaship with capacity for about 7,600 passengers. The ship will sail seven-night Western Mediterranean itineraries from Barcelona and Civitavecchia before repositioning to Fort Lauderdale in November 2026 for Caribbean cruises that include Perfect Day at CocoCay. Built around eight distinct neighborhoods, Legend of the Seas features a Category 6 waterpark, the Adrenaline Peak rock-climbing wall, an expanded Playscape, and multigenerational Ultimate Family Townhouse suites. Dining spans 28 venues—including the immersive Royal Railway – Legend Station, the Hollywoodland Supper Club, an AquaDome Market food hall, and signature outlets like Chops Grille and Izumi. Evening programming combines Broadway and spectacle—Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” will headline the Royal Theater, the AquaTheater will host high-diver and aerialist shows, and Absolute Zero will be the largest ice arena at sea—while the LNG-powered ship is positioned as a sustainability-forward, all-ages resort at sea.
