Doechii to Headline WorldPride DC Closing Concert June 8, 2025

Grammy-winning rapper Doechii, also known as 'The Swamp Princess,' is set to headline the closing concert for WorldPride DC on June 8, 2025. This event marks the culmination of a month-long celebration of LGBTQ+ pride, coinciding with the 50th Anniversary of Pride in Washington, D.C. Doechii's performance will take place during a two-day festival on Pennsylvania Avenue, featuring various artists and activities. Her recent Grammy win for Best Rap Album and recognition as Billboard’s 2025 Woman of the Year underscore her rising status in the music industry. In addition to Doechii, Cynthia Erivo will also perform, making the closing weekend a significant occasion for reflection and unity within the LGBTQ+ community. The festival will also include the official passing of the WorldPride torch to Amsterdam, the next host city.
