Blue Cloud Softech Plans $150M EdgeAI Chip Co-Development With Israeli Firm For India's Semiconductor Manufacturing
Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited (BCSSL) has signed a $150 million Technology Ownership Transfer (ToT) agreement with an Israel-based company to co-develop advanced edge AI semiconductor chips designed for AIoT and industrial automation applications. Under the partnership, the Israeli firm will provide core hardware architecture and reference design, while BCSSL will own and develop the entire software stack, ensuring complete technology ownership and intellectual property control in India. The five-year strategic investment plan includes technology integration, product development, and a manufacturing setup in India, aligning with the Government of India's "Aatma Nirbhar Bharat" initiative to boost domestic semiconductor manufacturing. BCSSL is in advanced discussions with leading Indian semiconductor manufacturers to fabricate these chips locally for large-scale production. The initiative supports BCSSL's existing $15 million collaboration with Byte Eclipse for edge AI chip integration in the Oil & Gas sector and addresses several upcoming projects in defense, energy, and industrial AIoT domains. This partnership represents a major step in strengthening India's AI chip development capabilities and semiconductor ecosystem.
