West Virginia Hires Rod West as Cornerbacks Coach

West Virginia University is set to hire Rod West, currently a cornerbacks coach and pass game coordinator at Appalachian State, as their new cornerbacks coach. West, recognized as a rising talent in coaching, has previously held positions at Richmond and other institutions, helping lead Appalachian State to two Sun Belt East titles. Additionally, the Mountaineers are bringing on Chuck Lillie, formerly the assistant general manager at Oklahoma, as their new general manager to oversee player scouting and recruitment. Lillie has experience with Kansas State and Clemson and will replace Drew Fabianich. The coaching staff under Rich Rodriguez is nearing completion as the team navigates significant player transfers following the departure of head coach Neal Brown. Rodriguez has already secured transfers and retained key players in preparation for the upcoming season.
