Netflix Reveals Diverse Cast for Prairie Reboot

Netflix's reboot of 'Little House on the Prairie' features new and original cast members, blending familiar characters from Laura Ingalls Wilder's novels with fresh roles. Jocko Sims will portray Dr. George Tann, a real-life physician who aided the Ingalls family during a malaria outbreak, while Warren Christie appears as Civil War veteran John Edwards. The series introduces Meegwun Fairbrother as Mitchell, a Kansas farmer, Alyssa Wapanatâhk as his wife White Sun, Wren Zhawenim Gotts as their daughter Good Eagle, and Xander Cole as White Sun’s younger brother Little Puma. Alice Halsey stars as Laura Ingalls, joined by Luke Bracey as Charles, Crosby Fitzgerald as Caroline, and Skywalker Hughes as Mary. The project, led by showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine and produced by CBS Studios, will reimagine the frontier narrative with a more dynamic and inclusive approach. The show aims to combine family drama, survival themes, and an American West origin story.
