Harry Potter Full-Cast Audiobook Adds Kit Harington, Keira Knightley, James McAvoy
Audible and Pottermore Publishing are releasing a star-studded full-cast audio edition of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series, with the first book, "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," debuting on November 4, 2025. The adaptation features more than 200 performers, including prominent actors such as Keira Knightley as Professor Umbridge, Kit Harington as Professor Lockhart, James McAvoy as Mad-Eye Moody, Ruth Wilson as Bellatrix Lestrange, and Simon Pegg as Arthur Weasley. The audiobooks will present the stories as immersive audio plays with Dolby Atmos sound design and original music for a cinematic listening experience, distinguishing them from previous single-narrator versions. Younger versions of Harry, Ron, and Hermione will be voiced by Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester, and Arabella Stanton in the first three books, with older actors taking over for later installments. This ambitious project plans monthly releases of each book through May 2026, aiming to offer fans a fresh and expansive way to experience the beloved series. Additional cast members and details will be announced in the coming months.
