Massive Fire at Chelsea Mill Believed Human-Caused

A massive nine-alarm fire at an abandoned mill in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on November 18th is believed to have been started by human activity, though it is unclear whether it was intentional or accidental. State Fire Marshal Jon Davine has stated that evidence suggests one or more individuals were present when the fire started. The vacant warehouse, which had been without power for years, was a known gathering spot for juveniles and homeless individuals. The fire prompted responses from about two dozen fire departments and led to nearby school closures and commuter rail delays. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Authorities are seeking public assistance in identifying those responsible, offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that could help solve the case.
