Drunk Passenger Ejected from Emirates Flight before Takeoff

Shaun Hewitt, a 33-year-old passenger, was removed from an Emirates flight from Newcastle to Dubai before takeoff due to drunken and abusive behavior. He had upgraded to business class for the first time but became disruptive when asked to move seats by the cabin crew. Police were alerted about his behavior after he was seen making comments about their presence at the airport, and they boarded the plane to address the situation. Despite the flight already being delayed, it took off shortly after Hewitt's removal. In court, he pleaded guilty to being drunk on an aircraft and received a suspended prison sentence while maintaining that he had consumed only two pints. Hewitt's attorney noted that he took full responsibility for his actions and expressed remorse for the disturbance caused to fellow passengers.
