Four Pedestrians Injured in Hit-and-Run on TMU Campus

On April 15, 2025, a hit-and-run incident on the Toronto Metropolitan University campus resulted in injuries to four pedestrians on Nelson Mandela Walk. The Toronto Police Service reported that the driver fled the scene just before 2 p.m., and two of the injured were transported to the hospital, one with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The other two victims were treated at the scene and did not require hospitalization. TMU issued a safety alert advising students to avoid the area, but confirmed that classes and exams were not affected. Police are actively investigating the incident and have requested anyone with information to come forward. A green sedan with a cracked windshield is being sought as part of the investigation.
