PSNI Recovers Improvised Explosive Device in Keady, Man Arrested

Police in Keady, South Armagh, recovered and made safe an improvised explosive device during a house search on Tassagh Road, carried out in support of an ongoing investigation by An Garda Síochána in Monaghan. A man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of attempting to make explosives and is currently assisting police with their enquiries. The operation, which involved military personnel, also led to the seizure of additional items for forensic examination. Authorities are investigating a potential connection between this search and a security alert that took place on July 1 in the Ballyards Road area of Milford, Armagh.
