The sale was motivated by Paltrow's desire to downsize after becoming an empty nester as her children, Apple and Moses, moved out. Despite the LA fires affecting nearby areas, her property remained untouched. The decision to sell was influenced by her move to a new property in Montecito, California, where she plans to split her time with her current husband, Brad Falchuk. Paltrow also pledged $2 million towards fire relief efforts in affected LA neighborhoods. The home, which she purchased with ex-husband Chris Martin in 2012 for $9.95 million, features amenities such as a guesthouse, movie theater, and wine cellar.
