Gemini Launches XRP Credit Card With Up to 10% Rewards

Gemini and Ripple have jointly launched an XRP Edition of the Gemini Credit Card, offering users up to 4% cashback rewards in XRP on gas, electric vehicle charging, and rideshare services, with additional rewards on dining, groceries, and other purchases. The card, issued by WebBank and operating on the Mastercard World Elite network, features no annual fees, no foreign transaction fees, and no charges for receiving crypto rewards, aiming to make cryptocurrency more accessible for everyday consumers. Gemini also expanded access to Ripple's USD-backed stablecoin, RLUSD, now available as an optional base currency for U.S. spot trading pairs, facilitating smoother trading and reduced conversion fees. Data from Gemini shows that XRP rewards held for at least one year appreciated by approximately 453% as of July 27, 2025, highlighting the token's strong performance relative to other reward currencies. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and CTO David Schwartz have expressed enthusiasm for the card, emphasizing its role in mainstreaming XRP usage and integrating digital currency with everyday financial products. This partnership and product launch occur alongside Gemini's IPO preparations, reflecting a strategic push into the crypto payments market and institutional adoption of the XRP Ledger.
