Everest Reinsurance Opens Major APAC Office in India's GIFT City

Everest Reinsurance, part of Everest Group, has launched a new office in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), India, after receiving approval from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA). This office will operate within Everest's Asia Pacific Reinsurance division, led by Kevin Bogardus, and aims to enhance regional presence by offering property, casualty, and specialty reinsurance solutions to local and multinational insurers. The expansion aligns with Everest's long-term strategy to diversify geographically, deepen client engagement, and meet the growing demand in one of the world's most dynamic reinsurance markets, driven by strong economic growth. Executive Vice President and CEO Jill Beggs emphasized the opportunity to bring underwriting expertise, capital strength, and a client-first approach to deliver long-term value across Asia and globally. Everest Group has become the largest Bermuda-based reinsurer, with gross written premiums rising to $12.9 billion in 2024, reflecting its expanding market influence. The new GIFT City office strengthens Everest's commitment to tailored reinsurance solutions and underscores its leadership in the property, casualty, and specialty reinsurance sectors.
