Alan Hamel Unveils Suzanne AI Twin

Alan Hamel, widower of Suzanne Somers, has developed a “Suzanne AI Twin” — an AI recreation of the late actress — and has demonstrated a prototype he says is nearly indistinguishable from Somers. The system was trained on all 27 of Somers’s books, hundreds of interviews and voice recordings, and Hamel says the demo responses impressed attendees. Hamel says the idea originated with Somers and that they discussed AI possibilities with futurist Ray Kurzweil as far back as the 1980s; the family supports the project. Once perfected, Hamel plans to host the AI on SuzanneSomers.com so fans can interact with her 24/7 and access health and wellness information Somers championed. Somers died in October 2023 after a long battle with breast cancer, and Hamel says building the AI fulfills her wish to continue connecting with people.
