Iowa's football team finished the 2023 season with a 10-4 record and suffered a 35-0 loss to Tennessee in the Citrus Bowl. Tennessee's freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava had a standout performance, running three touchdowns and passing for another score. Tennessee's running back Dylan Sampson also had a strong showing with 133 rushing yards. The Volunteers ended the season with a 9-4 record, while Iowa concluded with a 10-4 mark.
