Georgia Caretaker Charged for Exploiting Disabled Patient in Viral Video

Lucrecia Kormassa Koiyan, a 19-year-old healthcare worker from Georgia, was arrested on January 28 after a viral TikTok video showed her dancing provocatively over a disabled patient. The Loganville Police Department charged her with exploitation of a disabled person following public outrage after the video surfaced on January 23. In the footage, Koiyan, dressed in scrubs, can be seen standing on the arms of a chair while the disabled man sits below her. Police Chief M.D. Lowry expressed his disgust at the incident, emphasizing the importance of protecting vulnerable individuals. Koiyan was booked into the Walton County Jail and released on a $7,500 bond. The investigation remains ongoing, as authorities examine the circumstances of her employment and the potential involvement of additional videos.
