Former Cincinnati Coach Charged Filming Nude Minors

Gordon B. Cordell, a former junior varsity softball coach and sports photographer at Wilmington High School in Greater Cincinnati, has been indicted on multiple charges including the illegal use of minors in nudity-oriented material, voyeurism, and possessing criminal tools. He allegedly used a hidden camera disguised as a Bluetooth speaker to secretly film nude minors between January and April 2023. The investigation began in March 2023 and involved Homeland Security Investigations due to the case's complexity and volume of digital evidence. Cordell was arrested and is currently held on a $75,000 cash bond plus a $25,000 recognizance bond, with a pretrial hearing scheduled for September 12. Wilmington City Schools have severed all ties with Cordell, and the district confirmed he passed prior background checks that did not reveal any prior concerns. Authorities have also initiated forfeiture proceedings for the equipment used in the recordings as the investigation continues.
