Ukraine Opens Arms Export Offices Berlin Copenhagen Amid Defense Expansion

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced plans for Ukraine to open arms export and joint weapons production offices in Berlin and Copenhagen within 2025, marking a strategic step to boost its domestic defense industry amid ongoing conflict with Russia. Ukraine aims to export naval drones, artillery systems, and domestically produced missiles such as the Flamingo and Ruta, with mass production expected by year-end. While Ukraine retains crucial weaponry for its own defense, including fighter jets and air-defense systems supplied by allies, it is expanding its drone and missile programs, projecting interceptor drone production to reach 600-800 units daily by autumn. A Ukrainian delegation is set to visit Washington to advance a U.S.-Ukraine drone deal, which is anticipated to strengthen bilateral military cooperation under the Trump administration.
