Corrections Officer Arrested for Child Annoyance

Benjamin Bush, a 46-year-old employee of the California Department of Corrections, was arrested on October 29 after allegedly showing nude photographs of himself to children at the Santa Monica Pier. The incidents occurred on September 18, when he reportedly displayed the images to three 9-year-olds outside Pacific Park and to another unidentified child inside Playland Arcade. Following an investigation, Bush was charged with child annoyance and distributing harmful matter to a minor, despite having no prior criminal history. He resides in Rosamond and works at the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. The Santa Monica Police Department is seeking further information from the public, as they believe there may be more victims.
