Singapore Ministers Clarify Links to Su Haijin

Singapore Health Minister Ong Ye Kung, Transport Minister Chee Hong Tat, and Labour chief Ng Chee Meng clarified that they do not personally know or have had dealings with Su Haijin, a convicted money launderer involved in a billion-dollar case. This clarification came after photos emerged showing the officials at events where Su was present, which they explained were attended by coincidence and at the invitation of friends. Ng Chee Meng specifically noted meeting Su at an industry engagement but had no further contact after learning of Su's investigation. All three emphasized that their public roles often involve meeting many people, and accidental associations are sometimes unavoidable. They reiterated their commitment to upholding the People's Action Party's high standards of integrity despite such situations. Su Haijin has been convicted, had his assets confiscated, served a jail sentence, and has since been deported.
