Survivor Star Parvati Shallow Performs Drag Tribute to Boston Rob in NYC
Reality TV star Parvati Shallow, known for her appearances on Survivor and The Traitors, recently performed an iconic drag king act as fellow Survivor contestant Boston Rob Mariano at a New York City drag show. With the help of RuPaul's Drag Race star Jan Sport, Shallow lip-synced a lyrically remixed version of "Shallow" from A Star Is Born, incorporating Survivor-themed references including the host Jeff Probst and a playful twist on her own last name. The performance took place during a stop on Shallow's book tour for her memoir Nice Girls Don't Win and was attended by several Survivor alumni who enthusiastically supported the show. Shallow, who came out as queer in 2023, has embraced drag performances as part of her public persona, often co-hosting themed drag shows related to reality TV competitions. Despite not being included in Survivor 50, Shallow remains a fan favorite due to her memorable gameplay and strategic prowess, and she continues to engage audiences through creative performances and her recent memoir. The playful and heartfelt tribute to Boston Rob highlighted both her connection to Survivor's legacy and her evolving identity within the queer and drag communities.
