Netflix's Little House Reboot Adds Cast, No Release Date

Netflix has begun production in Winnipeg on a reboot of 'Little House on the Prairie,' inspired by Laura Ingalls Wilder's novels and the original 1970s TV series. The show is described as a blend of hopeful family drama, epic survival tale, and an origin story of the American West. The cast features Luke Bracey as Charles Ingalls, Alice Halsey as Laura Ingalls, Crosby Fitzgerald as Caroline Ingalls, Skywalker Hughes as Mary Ingalls, and an ensemble including Warren Christie, Jocko Sims, Meegwun Fairbrother, Alyssa Wapanatâhk, Wren Zhawenim Gotts, and Xander Cole. Rebecca Sonnenshine serves as showrunner and executive producer, with Sarah Adina Smith directing the premiere episode. The production is a collaboration with CBS Studios and other companies. While fans await the series, no official release date has been announced.
