Mishawaka Man Charged in Apartment Shooting

Joshua Peacock, a 48-year-old man from Mishawaka, has been charged with battery by means of a deadly weapon after allegedly shooting a friend in the chest during a verbal altercation at Hickory Village Apartments on November 27. The victim, Jeffery Snyder, was able to call 911 despite his injuries, and was reported to be in stable condition following hospitalization. Eyewitness accounts indicated that Peacock was intoxicated at the time of the incident and could be heard threatening the victim during the 911 call. Peacock was arrested at the scene shortly after police arrived and is scheduled for court arraignment on December 2.
