Clemson baseball defeats Stanford 11-1 in series opener
No. 4 Clemson achieved an 11-1 victory over Stanford in a seven-inning game at Doug Kingsmore Stadium, marking their seventh consecutive win and improving their record to 32-5 overall and 10-3 in the ACC. Aidan Knaak delivered a stellar performance on the mound, allowing only two hits and striking out six batters over six innings. The Tigers scored in five of the six innings, highlighted by Jacob Jarrell's two-run homer in the third inning. Stanford managed to score one run with Tatum Marsh's solo homer in the fourth, but Clemson quickly responded with a run of their own. The Cardinal's struggles continued as they fell to 18-13 overall and 5-11 in the ACC. The two teams will face off again on Saturday evening as part of the three-game series.
