Israeli Airstrikes Intensify in Lebanon Conflict

Recent Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon have resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries, escalating tensions in the region. On November 20, two people were killed in an airstrike on Chiyah, with additional casualties reported from strikes in Nabatieh al-Fawqa and Tyre, bringing the total death toll to at least 11 in recent attacks. Separately, two Lebanese soldiers were killed in an airstrike targeting a military post in southern Lebanon, increasing the total number of Lebanese military deaths to 36 since October. An earlier strike on November 18 targeted the Mar Elias neighborhood in Beirut, resulting in two deaths and 22 injuries, reportedly aimed at Hezbollah's Mahmoud Madi. The Israeli Defense Forces have not commented on these incidents, which are part of a broader air campaign initiated against Hezbollah since September. Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati has called for support for the army to counteract the Israeli aggressions.
