Leaders Push Greater Role for Women Entrepreneurs

Global leaders and organizers are stressing that greater female participation is central to economic growth, security and innovation, with Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla saying women across sectors will be pivotal to achieving an Atmanirbhar Bharat and attracting investment. In Ghana, Minister Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey urged sustained collaboration, dedicated funding and gender‑responsive policies at the 25th anniversary of UNSCR 1325, noting progress and calling for GHANAP III to address emerging threats such as cybersecurity, violent extremism and climate security. Practical capacity‑building initiatives are supporting women entrepreneurs: Nigeria’s FoundryforHER Bootcamp trained more than 100 female founders in pitching, fundraising, mentorship and scaling strategies aligned with the Aurora Tech Award. Complementing these national programs, regional events are building networks and practical skills — NAWBO‑Indianapolis’s Women in Unity forum will promote partnership and “village” networks for business growth, while Charlotte’s EmpowerHER Business Brunch offers hands‑on support for funding, certifications and scaling.
