NBA, Emirates, OKC Thunder Unveil Renovated Boys & Girls Club Classroom

The NBA, in partnership with the Oklahoma City Thunder and airline company Emirates, unveiled the newly renovated "Wonder Room" at the Boys and Girls Club of Oklahoma County as part of the NBA Cares Finals Legacy Project. The space, transformed from a former classroom, features state-of-the-art technology, a STEM/STEAM zone, a reading nook, mindfulness area, and recreational game tables, aiming to inspire creativity and learning among local youth. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, Emirates' Vice President of U.S. Operations Matthew Jones, and Oklahoma City Mayor David Holt spoke at the ribbon-cutting ceremony, emphasizing the project's lasting impact on the community and the importance of continued support for such initiatives. The renovation reflects Emirates' commitment to giving back through its partnership with the NBA and represents the first full-scale legacy project for the airline. The NBA Foundation also contributed a $25,000 grant to support the club. Similar renovations are planned for Indianapolis, contingent on their NBA Finals participation.
