Several college football running backs have been named to the prestigious 2025 Doak Walker Award Watch List, which honors the nation's top running back. Georgia Tech's Jamal Haynes, a redshirt senior and two-time all-ACC honoree, is recognized not only for his on-field success but also for his academic achievements, including admission to Georgia Tech's MBA program. SMU's redshirt freshman McFall, despite limited appearances last season, earned a spot on the watch list due to his impactful debut and potential. Florida State's redshirt junior Gavin Sawchuk, a transfer from Oklahoma, earned All-Big 12 honorable mention last year and has shown consistent rushing performances, including multiple 100-yard games. The award winner will be announced on December 12, 2024, during The Home Depot College Football Awards on ESPN.
