Rhett Miller Announces 10th Album, Fall 2025 Tour

Rhett Miller, frontman of Old 97's, is set to release his tenth solo album, A Lifetime of Riding By Night, on October 10 via ATO Records. The album features 13 tracks produced by Miller's bandmate Murry Hammond, who also produced Miller's debut solo album, and includes collaborations with artists such as Evan Felker of Turnpike Troubadours, Caitlin Rose, Nicole Atkins, and Jesse Valenzuela. The lead single, "Come As You Are," co-written with Felker, is a mellow Americana ballad reflecting on the challenges of life on the road and separation from loved ones, accompanied by a somber and idyllic music video. Miller recorded the album amid vocal cord surgery, choosing to keep the imperfections as part of the record's emotional authenticity. The album marks a return to Americana roots and will be supported by a fall solo tour starting in October, with dates including venues in New York and Texas. Miller describes the collaboration with Hammond as a deeply trusting and long-standing relationship, emphasizing the vitality and unexpectedness of their work together after decades in the music industry.
