Southern Conference Volleyball Championship Relocated

The 2024 Southern Conference Volleyball Championship has been relocated from Asheville, North Carolina, to Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, due to recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene. The tournament will take place from November 21 to 24, with the first match featuring the No. 9 seed against the No. 8 seed. Southern Conference Commissioner Michael Cross emphasized that the decision was made in consultation with Asheville officials to allow the area time to recover from the devastating hurricane, which has resulted in at least 246 fatalities. The conference is supporting recovery efforts by partnering with World Central Kitchen to provide meals and is accepting donations. All pre-sale tickets for the Asheville event will be honored at Wofford, and Ticketmaster is offering refunds for those unable to attend. This year's champion will secure an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament.
