NFL Returning to Mexico City in 2026
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed the league will return to Mexico City for a regular-season game in 2026 at the renovated Estadio Azteca, which is being refurbished and will be renamed Estadio Banorte; specific date and participating teams will be announced next year. Goodell reiterated plans to launch a professional flag-football league within a "couple of years." The NFL continues expanding its international footprint with multiple games in Europe and plans for growth in Australia and Asia. Separately, Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam outlined a proposed $2.4 billion stadium and mixed-use development in Brook Park, Ohio.
